lost key

i sold my sons fiat bravo 6 months ago and just had a call from the new owner to say he has lost the only key he had and has been quoted £300 for a new key is there any way he can get this sorted out in a cheaper way

unfortunatly not really as if its a red key'd car(i assume) then you need the red key to reprogramme the other keys
decoding the ECU is the only real option.

Hello and welcome Another option is to replace the locks and immobilisier but that's another expensive option, hopefully Codeman can help.
