Loss of performance / Miles

Can somebody please help,
I have a bravo 80sx and for the last 3 months a have lost 50 miles of a tank of petrol,
I have taken it to fiat who can only advised that as far as there concerned everything on the car is ok.
Has anyone got any ideas on what could be the problem!!!

Hi I assume you mean that for the last 3 months you are getting 50 miles less per tankful than previously. Depends what you had to start with but we get around 350miles per tank from an 80SX.
Figures.
Assuming your driving style and type of driving to be the same (not lending it to your heavy footed friend, changed girlfriends lately) are you getting the same amount of fuel in? Some pumps click off early. Assuming your figures are correct
Maintenance
Check air filter. Have you changed spark plugs, they won't go much more than 30K? After that you might have Lamnda sensor probs, partially blocked exhaust, brake binding and probably a few others but that's not a bad order to check things out, cheapest first!

By the way, as you have an 80SX, I'm considering whether to let Fiat have a look at my car as it has always had fairly uneven running between 1500-2000revs particularly when first starting either from cold or after a stall. It's enough to be bloody uncomfortable and is like a momentary miss or two on gentle acceleration. It's not plugs or leads as they've been changed. I've done 40K now since purchased at 6K. Just wondered if you get the same. We have Rovers and Clios with ECUs etc and they don't do it.

I have also recently had the first service from fiat on the car but that made no difference, but I will double check what you said.
I do sometimes get the same problem with the car in 1st but once again fiat could not offer me any help.
