Technical Loose cable

Hi there! My blower stopped working a couple of days ago so I stripped the dashboard to have a look and found this red cable hanging loose. It goes from driver side to the passenger side. Any idea what it's supposed to be connected to?

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention: it's a 2013 500l 1.3 multijet
