Has anybody purchased the mesh that Lockwoods Dials supply? I'm looking at tarting the front and rear bumpers up and was wondering how I would affix the aformentioned mesh to the bumpers as it's made from stainless steel wire and ain't very bendy?

When I did mine I used alloy mesh I sourced from home base..and used clear silicon mastic to stick it at the rear of the spoilers front and rear..(y)

I know that the aluminium mesh is easier to bend and fix but I think that that the Lockwood mesh exudes class hence the reason I want it. I suppose I could use sealant as well or maybe 'No More Nails' would be better?:hm:

I watched that "A Car is Born", with the guy building a kit car Cobra. He fixed the mesh on the front with a kind of sealant that he'd used to seal between the welds the tub of his car. Shouldn't be a problem as long as it's left to dry of course (y)

I wouldnt use stainless mesh because as you say its hard to bend into the shapes you need..it was very easy to do it with alloy mesh ..dont use no nails because it will let go when it gets damp where as clear silicon mastic is made to with stand wetness and it worked well on mine with the added bonus that if you want to get the mesh off its a relativly easy job to do so..(y)
