Recently I encountered a problem where I couldn’t open the drivers side door with the external handle but could open from inside. After several trawls of the tinternet I stripped the door down and subsequently found it was the latch in the side of the door failing not cables or the lock in the handle.
Having sourced a new lock at £170 I fitted yesterday and it works.
After speaking to others and auto locksmiths they hadn’t come across this on a Ducato and also advised they are not meant to be stripped down as they are a sealed unit.
Hope this helps others, I have full details on how to remove the lock if anyone needs this.
