Bought from JamieK and rehomed from London this is perhaps the ultimate combination for me - a late model fuel injected twin sunroofed RED Panda!

Suprisingly no one mentioned it was for sale on car and classics and after the demise of Fizzle I knew I would have to have at least one red Panda on the drive.

Though a little scruffy around the edges with new bumpers, sunroofs and a bit of magic dent removal and lots of polishing (not to mention a full cavity waxing/underseal) hopefully this little fella will go from faded glory to full techniCOLOUR.

Provisionally called "COLOUR" (I'm keeping the decals on) he's been fettled by Freddy panda1408 at the moment and the initial inspection of the underbody is excellent.

More pictures to follow ;)
northernchap Does the one from Ricambio fit ok? The non genuine one John got (not sure where from?) goes on half way before getting stuck. Not sure why, but even a gentle tap from a rubber malet won't presuade it to go fully home and any more force will result in paintwork damage!

I've tried a proper Zender one from another car and it fits perfectly. Zender were the OEM supplier of aerials to Fiat and they were available from dealers until a few years ago, obviously stock has ran out now though(n)

It went on OK, but then I didn't really pay any attention to the paintwork as I was doing so! Certainly didn't need a mallet. I think it's a bit wonky looking though, might need some adjustment but I only put it on really quickly when it arrived and I haven't wired it up yet.

I have the ricambio one and it went on ok. A chap I know may have an original one on a car he's breaking but the wire has snapped off. You might be able to repair it using a ricambio one.

Well I've bought another one from Italy, won't be original but it may fit. If it doesn't I think I'll just have take one off another car. or use some thinners to thin the paint down on the hinge fitting - it's had original paint then repainted at least twice so I suspect some thinning down is needed!

Surly if you need some slack it's easier to file or sand back the plastic on the hinge cover than mess with the paint on the hinge.

Thanks all, I'm really pleased with the finished outcome and more importantly so is John!

The wheels divide opinions I think, personally for me they make the car and really make it stand out. Both me and John were unsure on them at first, but after trying some others, it was immediately obvious these 15" Lancia wheels were right.

Looks great in real life. Despite a mark on the rear of the drivers head rest ;)

Don't you have a 126 to buy :nerner:

I didn't think much of them to start with either. Over the weekend I came to the conclusion that they are ok, verging on quite good. I wouldn't choose them, but I've seen much worse! (y)

I didn't spot anything wrong with the headrest, ahem.... I wouldn't point it put either......

Looks fantastic! Well done all round I say.
Exactly the same as my "Colour" (minus the holes of course :(
This will serve as inspiration although I know the bodywork on mine will never again look as pristine as yours.

Thanks for the photo's Freddy, not to mention all the work, help, advice and putting up with lucy peeing in the workshop!

I'm very very pleased with the results, even I wasn't sure about those wheels until we had a some turbo alloys for comparison. Wether you love of hate them they make the car! They also led to the lowering on Spax springs and a full set of new shocks too.
The ride is a little harder than a standard panda but crikey, it doesn't half stick to the road, body roll is about half that of a standard car.
Those wheels are the 15" ones I bought with a load of spares at a show earlier in the year or last year, but it was definately when I had the 100HP 'cos they were were bought for it!
The 14" version are the ones that got Panda expressed and refurbed destined for the Y10 now.

Thanks for all the kind words, I don't know how Gavin does all this show malarkey, I'm still shattered now!
