.... Fiat are at the end of the day a lower budget car, thats why they sell loads, but if you want red carpet treatment & your a**e kissed everytime you walk into a dealership then sell everything you have and by a rolls royce etc.
Dealerships on the whole can,and should be,doing better but these days its not easy getting what you want in the condition you expect in any walk of life....

True, true - I'd agree with you there.

My experiences however showed that the particular guy I spoke to in that particular Fiat garage lacked the social skills necessary for interaction with other humans, resorted to blatantly lying, insults and arrogance. I was not rude to him, yet he persisted in talking over the top of me and persisting in his unneccesarily aggressive stance, even though the colleagues behind him told him he was in the wrong.

Even a simian would have had the common sense to look at the car and promise to investigate, even if he had no intention of following the job up. Had he done that, he would have ended up with a customer who thought he was being treated well, and wouldn't have made himself look stupid in front of his own colleagues. Said customer might also have been more inclined to use that garage for parts (of which I buy quite a few) and possibly a new car.

1st I bought it brand new from the dealership.

so 3yrs warrenty.

When I took it in for warrenty repairs they would send the car out stalling every 5mins if under 3,000 revs!. Then they say it will be ready at 4:00 pm, I say I'll be in after work. 5:30pm, it still not ready, they I get it back and they have accidently taken the rear badges of.

Then My speedo goes, it took me 18mth to get them to change it. They ordered the parts, then lost them, ordered them again and lost them, 3rd time they said "your car is out of warrenty you have to pay" I said (OK upset now!)
You ordered it 18mths ago and your computer confirms that, because you lost the parts twice I have to pay!!"
eventually they did pay but what a stress! took me 3yrs to resolve little issues like broken plastic parts etc. They just did not want to help, I apoligised all the time for asking them stupid questions! but they did not want to know. So now I avoid them like the plague!!!!

Oh did I mention it was FISH BROTHERS SWINDON.

Now I do yes. It's a sham that the local dealer is no good. My friend had an Alfa 156 and they again where horrid. Think it's because we are both under 30!!!

Who knows.

The entire staff do not give a ****. I try and be as nice as I can as I need them for parts etc, but there customer service is lacking some what.

Well the old boy there is really nice.
:bang:

OPTIMA in Wootton Bassett are 100% spot on, I think it's because there an inderpendent company, Fish Brothers in Swindon is huge and own half the car company market, so they don;t have to care.

Shame.

OPTIMA gets all my business and I can not rave about them enough, for advice, serviceing etc they are always welcoming. Dealerships have no compertition as there is rarley 2 Fiat dealers in the same town so why care, you need them more than they need you! it's that "Shafted over a barrel sindrome" (n)
