Leisure Battery next to regular battery?

Yeah its called a voltage meter, when it go's below a certain volume you switch it off.

that would require monitoring the meter constantly or at least occasionally is there no way of automating the cut off point ?

thanks, don't go out of your way to find out ill just keep my jump start pack with me if im going to do anything too power consuming throughout the day.

maplins might do something (electronic kit) it wont be complicated anyway. thing with lead acid battery is they put out a pretty linear voltage untill it is almost flat then drops off. a radio only uses a small amount of power (unless your running an amp)
so while the voltage might be above the threshold there wont be enough current to turn the engine over
