General LED brightness

Hi,
I was going to buy some LED lights for my punto just wondering if 2500k is bright when talking about LED strips?

Will 2500k shine bright off other objects and give a bright glow?

2500K is the colour temperature, not how bright they are.

Hey, i have these LED's in my punto, but not as long, only 24 LED per strip but i have 6 in my car and have just ordered 4 more longer ones for under glow, they are easy to fit and they look decent if you put them under footwells, would you like me to post some pictures on my profile ??

Yeah they are quite bright, i have a 24 and a 18 Led strip in my boot aswell and when its dark they light it all up, my camera on my phone is crap but i took a pic for you, its on my veichle pictures, they do look better in real life, i also took a picture of one of the neons.

Also if you like your car to shine red or blue then you might want to invest 2 or 3 quid on ebay buying a new festoon bulb for your interior light, they are amazing !! cheap too and simple to fit, you just pull interior roof light off (the plastic not the glass bit) and jus simply put int he new bulb

Does anybody know what size festoon bulb fits a MK2 PUNTO ACTIVE for courtsey light.

BTW how did you wire the lights to your boot do they only come on when you oopen the boot?

Where did you connect the wires to so it only comes on when you open the boot?

Do i pull off the clear plastic where the light shines through or the white plastic border?

i made that mistake, just take off the whiter outer part, if youstick a flatthead on the roof and just budge it down it slips out easily.

I wired up all of my neons through my cigaret lighter. you can get cigaret lighters on ebay cheap too, but you can do it directly off of the batterie. i dont know how to make it so that it only comes on when you open your boot, but i have neon on all the time in my car but a switch in the back and just turn it on and off when i need it on or off, they are about 2 quid on ebay, ill link u

Cheers m8 iv wired my neons to the wires behind that go to the cig lighter, iv already got a switch i was thinking theres a courtsey light inside the boot at the side i might try to cut into them wires so when boot opens then my boot neons come on with the boot coutsey light.

For the undercar glow i will use negative from battery but feed positive into the car to the cig lighter switch otherwise they will be on all time and i will get pulled.

Is it just a case of finding the wires that go to the light and connecting into them?

Black and red wire or will i have to do something to the actuall light to get it to come on when bboot opens

If i put it to +ve & -ve then wont they just stay on all time because its just power in them wires not like a switch.
