shame! still can't complain though, wonder why they didn't sell well? not everyone likes auto's but there must be more too it!

It's a manual. The main problem is that it was too advanced, people were worried about the longevity of the batteries, also, £18000 for a 2 seated car without performance car credentials was quite steep.

Now however they are becoming quite sought after, a tatty, non runner, without mot will easily fetch £2500, I lucked in finding this one, and the seller was desperate as he wanted rid due to it being his ex misses car.

If you Google MIMA you will find all sorts of clever tricks are being done now owners understand the electronics.

SRS light was on, I suspected dodgy connector, it was.

Gearbox input shaft bearing is noisey, so ill do all the bearings whilst I'm replacing that. Apart from that its just cosmetic tidying.

I recon I could have got it on the road for about £500, but I'm a fussy bigger so ill be spending about £1500 on it.

Done some reading about mima, sounds cool :D.

Still would be cheaper buying a 1997 Audi A4 1.9 110 and running it on veg oil IMO.

that's what i was gunna say, i'm getting 45-50 mpg out of mine, getting the oil for nowt, costing me around 10p/L.

if there was nothing else going like veg oil i'd be well looking into getting one of those, love anything different!

been thinking of selling my car and sharing the GF's punto but for what it's costing me to run it would be daft to get rid

Cool car ahead of it's time now bang on the money

150 mile commute though... Rather you than me mate, I did 80 miles for 2 years and that was in an Alfa

There has to be an easier way to bring home the bacon?

That really is ugly, sorry and all that and I've never seen one in the flesh, until that is yesterday when I saw a '10' registered model and then again today when I saw another one.

They've made one or two cosmetic changes and all of a sudden it's not bad at all; in fact it now looks, well, interesting actually.

Both the ones I saw were white and the rear wheel spats have gone with some modern black trim around the bottoms of the front spoiler and rear valance and some decent alloys added. One of them was parked almost next to the latest model of Renault Megane Coupe and there were quite a few stylistic similarities especially from the side.

So there it is then. The ugly blobby Honda is the main influence for one of the nicest looking coupes for quite a few years.
