right my flatmate was getting lessons in my old cinq.
unfortunatly her interest has waned.now she is paying insurance on the car so im wondering is it worth keeping the insurance running to get 1 year NCD.
or will an insurer not count that as it was earned under a provisional?
about 6 months to go IIRC

I took out insurance last Feb on my provisional and currently approaching my 1st years No Claims :woot: So yes it does still get 'counted' I rang them when I passed my test and they amended accordingly, my premium didn't go down though  but it will in Feb (y)
How much is she paying? Is it in her name or as a named driver?

Yes it does count, had my insurance on a prov and that year has been counted by all insurance companies I have contacted.

Steve

its in her name.cant remember how much but its not loads.

Man I didn't know that was true!

That means I've been driving a year and a half and not a year! Bring on the sunshine

I ran a scooter for two years under a provisional liscence. No claims

Would this be included then?

No

Even on most real bike insurance it's not counted ;)
