leaks!!

I am having a lot of water running down the drivers side pillar, but can't locate from where its coming. I have read previous pages about the usual suspects but could really do with someones idiot guide to checking them. Can anyone help? The car is a 1997 1.8HLX with a sunroof. The headlining is stained by the sun visor.

Roof arial

My roof arial was leaking on my old car, u need to remove interior light to get to it and then just replace the rubber gasket. It worked on mine, and when I got new car made sure it didn't have a sunroof.

Sunroof

Odds on it will be the sunroof. I had similar problem last year. All the drivers seatbelt wast wet thru. It has done it once in the last 8 months so I haven't gone into it further. Sit in the drivers seat and try pushing up the rear right of the sunroof just above your head if there is som play in this then there will be a loose nut or bolt up in the roof. I know this because I sent the car back for the problem origonally but it has happened once since. I can only think that you have to take the roof lining out to get to it.

A quick fix

Try buying two bigger tyres to go on the front, this will make the water run down hill and pour over the buggers in the back seat, pretty soon folks will stop pestering you for a lift

the past couple of months ive been getting HUGE and i mean big, puddles of water in the drivers footwell. It has totally ruined the underlay carpet which Ive had to pull out!!! as many, i was baffled. I may have a look at the sunroof and aerial as suggested by others. What I did was look in the engine drainage system. just to the sides of the bonnet hinges are large 'holes'-one top left of the engine and one top right. GET ME? anyway these get really full of **** like rotten leaves, twigs and the like. I completely flushed everything out round and about the engine. Had no problems since.
