Leaking fuel filter

Hi I have a Fiat Ducato based motorhome year 2009 with the 3 litre engine, it has the dreaded plastic fuel filter that has again decided to leak, can you get a replacement metal filter from one of the later models or do I have to replace with the plastic one, are they an easy part to replace.

If the problem was a design flaw then i would change it. What do you need, Fuel in and out pipe and a drain. As long as the diameters of the fuel pipes are the same i can see a problem.

Could yours be mounted wrong or need rubber mounts as its cracking through vibration?

Just not well enough to tell him.

the later metal type filter don't fit I was thinking of fitting one to mine
+ there is a fuel temp sensor in the top of the plastic filter
