Leaking CV Boot - get fixed?

Hi - got a leaking inner CV boot (left side) on a 1.6Bravo manual. Leaking gear fluid - perhaps about a teaspoon per 1000 miles kind of quantity from around seal with shaft. It's one of those boots that doesn't rotate.

Should I get it seem to asap or can I just rely on topping up gear fluid?

Haynes manual suggests that for 1.6 shaft goes directly into sun gear of differential but doesn't give any info on changing oil seal - is there one like on the other engine sizes - or is this a much bigger job involving gear box removal on the 1.6??

Thanks

Ted

Swapping it is not too bad, you need to remove the driveshaft which requires taking the hub off the suspension arm.

I'd get it fixed ASAP.

lucky you that it is on the left side m8 the drivers side one is a total bitch cos there is an engine mount in the way! you can get the boots quite cheep from
