General Leaded/Unleaded?

My frined has a 2001 Bravo, 1.6 16V, he took the catalysator off, and is driving on 98 octanes for a year now...not all the time, just when hes short of cash, 95 is more money, and he says it goes noticably better
For how long, we will see....

yes the 1600 16v has a knock sensor

the 1108 1242 8v engines do not have a knock sensor and some others don't either but i'm not sure of some

FFS? the odd thing is that the pump clicked a few times, but the tank wasn't full. So how would you know (keep on adding a little until it overflow a little)?

because you get in the car and the fuel gauge says full, also, if you insert the nozzle correctly it wont click unless its full

OK, but tesco being one company, why isn't the same price throughout?

because cost of the premises is different in different parts of the country, they have different delivery costs because the fuel trucks have to travel further to different stores, the list goes on.

get a fully adjustable pulley and advance it a little bit

but without a dizy it's a bit hard to alter the ignition timing

moving the crank sensor would do that thou
