Latest Chop - Cartooning

well i had this amazing idea, been done before but i thought id try cartooning again, havent done it in ages, lost the last one i did, but i decided why not, spent a while looking through photos and chose one of my mates car from not so long back that i took.

here it is so far, lots of lines and its even further now but its easier to guess the car in the latest one.

now guess the car?

p.s. ill giveit 5 minutes from reading this that someone else will start cartooning or post up an image of theres from a while ago lol

its done with line tool and my tesco value mouse :slayer:

hmm its ment to be a cartoon car, gonna add shading and such to it to make it look cool.

done some partial shading, bonnet, alot of work but it looks cr*p , passenger front wing, partially on passenger door and also the bump strip

i cant do that i just clicked special effects, colouring book and thats what i got

its all about using the line tool dave, drawthe outline of the vehicle like post 5 (i think). i drew 1225 individual lines to make up the frame work ofthe car, took ages, the hardest bit is shading as has been said

redone the shadowing, coloured it all back in and started over....

inline with the original shadows n such, tried my best lol

id try it a bit more blocky, with proper lines between the different areas of color

also, are you painting the shading by hand? as in some areas it looks stronger then others. use the gradient tool instead, much more exact

wouldnt it be easy to do the shading with a gradient tool and 2 close colours?

ive never tried this before., might give it a go., ive spent the last god knows how long making a halfords btcc car.,lol.,

i prefer blocks of close color, only using gradients where blacks would not be visible
