Could book it in for an MOT then drive it, technically there is no rule on the maximum distance you can drive to an MOT station, although I'm not sure how that would stand up if you did get stopped.

IT STARTS RUNS AND DRIVES VERY WELL WITH ONLY A CRUNCH INTO SECOND WORTH MENTIONING

If it has just ran out then you're more likely to get away with it. Looks like this Panda has been sitting for a while though so probably not worth the risk. Trailer is the only way.

I might have been tempted to drive it home if it were closer but crossing the Pennines? Too Risky
