Hi guys,
I have a 1991 Lancia Thema 2.0 16v same engine as Tipo, Coupe etc.. I removed the head to change the gasket and i noticed that when spraying WD40 on the pistons, after about 15-30 mins, the WD40 on piston no.2 leaks by. All the other pistons keep the fluid.
What do you think is the problem, bores look mint and I do not wish to change the piston rings if it is not necessary as these are very expensive and hard to find here in Malta.
I am also thinking to change to Megasquirt and dump the old Jetronic and Digiplex system.
Please give me your views.
