Technical Knocking Noise

Hi, I can feel and hear knocking when I press the brake pedal. Any ideas what this might be? Thanks

Hi

A loose component probably..

1. Check all wheel bolts are tight NOW ..!!

2. If safe - carefully go for a drive
Get to 20mph.. relax your grip on the steering wheel.. is it shimmering.. does the car pull to one side

With a firm grip on the wheel again


Press the clutch pedal so the car is briefy coasting

Gently press the brake pedal.. can you feel the pedal 'pulsing'

Hi , thanks for your reply .

It's pulling to the left. There is a definite feeling of knocking on the brake pedal when the pedal is depressed which you can hear. The noise goes away when the pedal isn't engaged.

Check the discs for heavy rust build up.
