Hi. There is a nocking noise on my td100's left driveshaft, especially when turning tightly. My bro said its the outer cv joint.

Will I need a whole new driveshaft or can I get the parts to repair it?

Cheers

Re: Untitled

it depends mate, you'll have to ring around ur local motor factor shops to see if it is a seperate piece cus tbh im not sure..
I know on a 106 we had,,it was knockin and ended up bein cv joint but we cudnt replace it,had 2 get whole driveshaft.

I think you are better of getting the exchange driveshaft, that way it's less time and 2 new joints. Do not go to fiat, local motor factors as stated are the best bet. s

Ok thanks lads, will try motor factors and see what they say.

Does it knock when you aren't turning, say, ion rough roads or potholes?

mine does!! it sounds like under driver side faint knocking when going over pothole or something??

what could it be?

Thats most likely gonna be the balljoint, so new wishbone required. Either that, or the ARB droplink bushes are perished. Neither job is too expensive.
