Knocking noise

Ok, Bertha is making an odd knocking noise.

She's a 1.6 16V, cambelt and alternator belt done not long ago.

Ideas?

have you had your brakes changed recently?

Found out that it seems to be something clutch related as the noise only appears with the clutch depressed.

It's wrong, so very, very wrong.........

if you find the problem and need new parts like gearboxes driveshafts etc etc i have plenty in the garage.

just out of interest how many miles has ur car done?

My clutch was making more of a ticking noise than a knocking when depressed but was on the way out and eventually failed. If its still on the original clutch then thats what it might be.

Any ideas on cost to replace?

Depends if you are to do it yourself or getting a garage to do it.

I would hazard a guess at around £60 for the clutch kit. £60 for labour.

Rough guesses only so dont quote me
