My daughter has lost her car keys an M reg old fiat punto. It was a flat silver key and we do not have a spare. On contacting different sites I have been quoted over £200 to get a new key. Does anyone know if inside the car anywhere there is a key number?. The car goes well but it is old and this is too much for me to spend on a key- she cant pay as she is at uni for her last year- thats why I am poor !!!

If it was just a flat silver key, it won't have an immobiliser in it. If you or someone takes one of the door lock barrels out, any good locksmith should be able to cut a kek to suit your lock for about £25, assuming it's the same key for the doors and ignition.
