Hiya,
I got my gorgeous Fiat 500 yesterday and am totally in love, but the previous owner had long fake nails which has now left my buttons on my key fob completely messed up. I have just bought some replacement ones from ebay

But I was wondering if someone could talk me through how to replace them, I have managed to remove the back cover, and have found the battery lock and been able to remove that, but am completely stuck and don't want to pull at it in case I end up breaking it more!

my rubber buttons are almost non existent, but are slightly loose, do they just pull off? any help will be greatly received please!

Thanks :D

You don't need to remove the battery or the back. The front of the fob can be gently prised off starting at the top where the badge is ( a small screwdriver can be a help if it's tight) then use the screwdriver to lever up the bottom of the rubber and pull it up and away - reverse to refit.

Oh thank you so much, I assumed it would be something as simple as that! Hope the new buttons arrive quickly now!
Thanks again

If you use a flat-bladed screwdriver about 3-4mm wide and gently twist it while working your way around the edge it should pop out with no damage to the plastic edges. You can try using your thumbnail but if it's not as strong as your previous owner's I'd go for the screwdriver...

PM me if you'd like a picture of mine (the dismantled key fob - not my thumbnail!);).
