General key code light

i am wonderin if any1 no's wats up with my car. i changed the starter motor in my car t other day after i tryed start up and its would go but not fire up
any 1 no wats up?

also the key code symbol stays lit up when the key is out.

its a fiat punto 96 1.2

It sounds like the immobiliser is treating it as a rogue key. Maybe it needs to be recoded?

i dnt have it.
my other key dont work either though.
it dont say nothing bout it in the manual.
just bout when the key is in
and it does it when my key isnt in and its turned to stop
