Does anyone know will the boot supports or lifters on the Mk2 Uno work on the Mk1. The Mk1 has only one support whereas the MK2 has two. Will one of the supports on the Mk2 keep the boot up on the Mk1.

i generally find none of them seem to do a good job....ouch!

seriously though i've had a load out of old uno's i have scrapped and from scrappies, and the best of them are ok some days, and drop the next....

could it be temperature dependant then? Like the warmer the better as the air inside the cylinder is less dense therefore more pressure

My wife has a 94 Mk2 Uno and the boot stays up all the time. There is good pressure on the lid. I saw a 92 Uno in a scrap yard at the weekend and the boot just flew up. I was thinking of taking one of the struts for my Mk1 if it would hold it up.
