is the k series 1.6 the same as the 1.8 but with different bore size...or is it different sroke... crank and rods too??
the k series was originally 1.1 and 1.4. the 1.4 was enlarged to 1.6 and 1.8 by altering the stroke and cylinder width. it was this modification and the many changes that went with it that actually created the head gasket problem in the first place. the original 1.1 and 1.4 k series designs were fine.
