is the k series 1.6 the same as the 1.8 but with different bore size...or is it different sroke... crank and rods too??

thanks, but it only seems to list the bore and stroke for the 1.8 i dont know it for the 1.6
I believe the 1.6 is Bore 80mm Stroke 79mm
1.8 is same bore longer stroke
1.8 is same bore longer stroke

this is interesting, the 1.4 was increased to a 1.6 not the other way round from the 1.8

the k series was originally 1.1 and 1.4. the 1.4 was enlarged to 1.6 and 1.8 by altering the stroke and cylinder width. it was this modification and the many changes that went with it that actually created the head gasket problem in the first place. the original 1.1 and 1.4 k series designs were fine.
