I am thinking of changing my air filter on my 2011 bravo 1.4 t-jet 120 to get a bit of a hp gain and wanted to take your opinion should i get the K&N or the BMC or just stay on the stock ?

People i've known to replace the filter with a K&N have reported on better throttle response and a nicer noise, but generally speaking, no power increase. K&N'll be the next thing I get =]

Thanks for your reply btw i've read somewhere that K&N air filters don't filter the air as good as the stock one leading to a reduced engine life!!!! is that true ???
anyhow what im trying to do to my car is get 150 hp from my 120 engine lol
so any ideas how to do that without voiding the warranty ???

cheers :D

Adding a 30hp engine in the trunk, with a propeller sticking out, is just about the only way to add power without voiding warranty.

By the way - stay away from "performance air filters". You will gain maybe 2-3 hp, but seriously put your fuel injection components in a very bad situation - poor filtering and "filter oil" soaking things that should not be oiled. Don't go there, there's no point.

Pretty easy - remap or TMC kit...The second if you are warranty-sensitive. Both would give you about 30hp increase. Just use the search option ;)

Just what I was gonna post ^_^

And after reading people's experiences and stuff, K&N seem to do more good than bad... Or am I just being naive? =[

waiting for my K&N filter to arrive for my iddy biddy 1.4 (NON TURBO....BLOODY INSURANCE)....I know it wont change anything with regards to BHP, but its bloody hard to find mods for the non turbo....even the raggazzon back boxes are silly money for the standard car

Gotta start somewhere eh.

Fitted a K&N panel filter to my 1.9JTDM last week. Noticeable increase in engine response. Not necessarily power but overtaking is definitely slightly easier.

Did the same on mine (Mjet 150), same results as BravoMark. Engine picks up much more willingly at low revs, definite improvement(y)

I know we are talking diesel, but turbo spool up times and general breathing are giving us the improvements. I guess it will be the same for you IRH007

fitted mine to the car this weekend, doesnt sound much different but the pickup when you push the pedal is a hell of a lot better, used to bog down a bit when accelerating in 4th from about 2k revs, takes off now like its in 3rd

just need a ragazzon back box so it makes a nice noise and hey presto, nice sounding car without the chavvyness :D

How much did u pay for it? where did you get it from? cheers

£30 approx. Amazon. Get the correct part number from the K&N website 1st, so you can double check when you're ordering.

paid £35 from europarts with free delivery, not too bad, was cheapest I could find with delivery

Just ordered mine for 75$ from spoiler center here in lebanon bloody prices  hope its worth it :) can't wait to put it on

It finally arrived :D.
