Today I pulled out the panel filter and it's pitch balck.
So needs a change.
I'm thinking of putting in a K&N panel instead of the standard on.
I'm not planning on tuning the engine, just closing the EGR valve ones the waranty expires.
Will this change the engine performance as it's getting air in easier?
I do not think it will change the "performance" with more torque or hp'.
Just the thought it gets air easier makes it response a little better?
Little more sound of the air going in I guess.
And what about the airflow though the air mass meter.
I read topics (not here but on a VW forum) about getting wrong readings as the air flow different with the K&N filter.
What are the thoughts around here regarding these panel filters?
