K&N air filter problem!!!

Hi everyone this is my first post.
I can't seem to put up a pick of my car yet but I will try again soon.
Oky my question.
Ive fitted a K&N 57i induction kit air filter to my grande punto 1.2 8v for a few more horses. I followed the instructions supplied, but I've noticed a yellowy oilly residue in the breather pipe wich goes from the top of the engine into the K&N. Small amounts of oil is being spat into the filter causing it to clog. What is this dull yellow oilly residue and how can I fix this problem??

Hi mate, normally when oil is that colour it has water in it, do you do alot of stopping and starting journeys? perhaps it is condensation in the rocker box?

yep my mate said that too. I do mainly about 2-8 mile journeys. another mate said it might be the head gasket S$%T.

K&N filter reduces power on the 1.2 engine. put the standard airbox back on.

It sure doesnt feel like reduced power, quicker 0-60 and its got a little more at the top end. Fenton why do you say this? Did you fit one and do a BHP and Torque test befor and after?

Hi guys wonder if you can help me i have bought a KN filter 9 for my punto 1.4 8v cant get any of the original pipes to fit it do i have to buy some pipes please help thanks
