Tommy K - Have you got the Bottle!!

I couldn't agree more.

The Stilo looks as ugly as sin - especially the 5 door; what a beast that is!

Whereas teh Bravo was good looking and unreliable, the Stilo is ugly and unreliable. Unfortunately, Fiat desparately need to sharpen up and get a slick new model out. ******** to all the "proposed" new models - they need a new hatch.

Punto Grande..........equally uninspiring!

At times, I love you Roger.

I actually laughed out loud at that. Unreliable. Brilliant.

Not because you're wrong, but because that's your opinion :)

You know, its my opinion that when buying a new car, there aren't any that are incredibly unreliable. at least, not as unreliable as the reputation FIAT has implies. The Skoda reliability reputation. thats what FIAT want, a turnaround like that. sure they still seem uncool, but fiats are already cool, so thats cool.

Stilo

What!! Have you seen the yellow version of the 2.4 abarth stilo now where else can you get a hot hatch overloaded with toys and leather at a proce like that !? Fair enough the 5 door looks like the spawn of the devil but the 3 door doesnt . I myself am saving up for one in a while .... Maybe but im still in love with the bravo for now so we shall see.

fiat cars are the best in their respective classes by a long shot. unrivalled performance, build quality and reliability plus cool factor. i wouldn't drive anything else even if it were offered me for free.

for free?
I would :D

so who's offering?
(except TommyK. I dont want a free citroen ax thanks ;))

I agree with Buzz. Fact is to sell cars in Britain Fiat must shed their old image of poor build quality and unreliability.
I'm old enough to have owned Fiats during the 70's. Great to drive but total rust buckets within four years!
It's taken the Brava to get me to buy Fiat again, but the Stilo is very ordinary. Fiat seem to have lost their way (again). None of their current cars have that certain something the Brava/o has in spades.
Fiat must do a Skoda, and re-invent the marque to represent value (like Citroen), style (like Alfa), and reliability (like Honda). They need a mass market hatchback that floors the opposition, and doesn't breakdown!

Stilo 2.4 Abarth - value?

I was tempted by the Scumacher SE at £16500, but I slapped myself and began considering what it would be worth 3 years later. £5500 - if I was very, very lucky. Which I'm not.

I wouldn't call Fiats as class leading either, stylish and good value, but class leading - no.
