A BIG THANK YOU to Ming, after my expansion tank blew a tennis ball sized hole, he very kindly came out and put the tank from his Other Cinq (899/1242cc) and made it fit so I could at least get home after the East Kilbride Cruise.

Left East Kilbride about 12am and got home just before 1am this morning, driving home with the drivers window partly open to stop my windscreen from misting up, got home after stopping 4times and doing no more than 50MPH, and almost freezing to death.

Heard about this on Strathycruise - had wondered where you'd gone as I basically lost you almost as soon as I'd moved over to where Ally was parked. Had went up to the second floor and wandered around but couldn't see you. Ended up leaving a little before 9 as well. Sorry I wasn't around to lend a hand, but glad Ming could help.

How did it happen anyway?

No worries mate, stick a thread on FF. See what people say it could cause that to blow. As i got not an idea. You really need to find the root cause to stop it from happening again!

And seeing that you will need to drain all your water, you might well fix/flush your raditor as well.

Rob! F**K knows how it happened, was stuck in a que, no waring light or anything, and just suddenlly heard a loud POP and steam everywhere.
Got a tennisball sized hole, will try and get the photo up later.

Just bought a Tank £19.50 it's the one ypu put up on here, costs more as the seller wants £12 for postage so I can get it by Sat.

According to Blair (My Step-Dad) he reckons the plastic was already weak and just went when it got to weak, gona check up on FF see what's been said after I put piccys up.

Now why the hell didn't I think of that Ming??? D'oh, did phone him as I said and the first thing he asked me was "What've you broken now Andi??" not a "What can I do for you this eveing Andi?" and to top it off he didn't even have the Landrover and trailer, so couldn't get a tow home.
