If it's any help, my 500X 1.4 Popstar with DDCT gearbox took 13 weeks from order to delivery.
Picked mine up today, just a shade over 20 weeks from ordering, after having been promised a maximum of 12. Totally different spec though, if it matters - 1.4 Pop Star (manual).
Maybe they will have sorted their production out and you will be lucky... Fingers crossed.
I'm very pleased with my car so far. It has lived up to my expectations with regard to quietness and smoothness, with most gearchanges of the DDCT box almost imperceptible. In fact the sales person who drove my car from the dealer's delivery compound to their showroom/servicing facility said she was impressed with the smoothness as it was the first 500X with DDCT that she had driven.
The DDCT gearbox is fully automatic and 6 speed. You can change gear manually using the gear lever (if the car accepts conditions are suitable) or with steering wheel paddles if you have specified the latter option.
While the FIAT website gives details of the DDCT option, I have yet to find a printed brochure which does so. When I ordered my car back in July the salesman telephoned FIAT HQ to confirm that such an option was available!
Yes, indeed, mine is petrol. I have the 140bhp Multiair. So far I've only done 130miles, I don't want to get it dirty yet !! A mixture of town and a 60 mile round trip and the car is telling me 40.1mpg.
I went with the standard Passione Red as, although I quite liked some of the other colours including Argento Grey (Silver?), I didn't feel like paying another £500 just for a different colour. Yes, I find the seats comfortable.
