I think I have read most/all the previous posts regards re maps, looks like Red Dot are the best bet. Before I decide to get mine done, can u give me some feedback on what u all think of the JTD115's engine performance after a Red Dot re-map, and most importantly if you have ever had to take the car back to Red Dot due to the engine warning light being triggered, or any other performance related reason to do with the Red Dot re-map, Thx David

You need to do a lot of reading:

To be honest I'm kind of surprised (if you've read most/all of the previous threads) that you're not considering Angel, seems to me that everyone who has been there is very happy indeed. I do recognise that (although not alone) I seem to have had the worst luck following a session at Red Dot and geography has been against a resolution being found. I have long since removed the GSR induction (which didn't resolve the issue) and when fitted it did give useful gains - even if it did sound like it would suck pedestrians into the engine at 100 yards :D

However, little niggles aside, I can say this about the car following the remap:

1. It's got a hell of a lot more punch throughout the useful powerband - torque is well up over standard.
2. On average it's been better on diesel ever since.
3. Other than an issue with overboost which the ecu doesn't like it's well behaved.
4. It really does go like stink.
5. I've had no issues at MOT time.

I get the occasional engine warning light (point 3 above) with a power drop off at the same time, but it never stays on and provided I change gear or get off boost the power always comes back.

You pays your money - you take your chances
