looking at buying a new or very nearly new alfa (on finance, clearly!) and have noticed that the 1.9 JTD that i was gonna get is now being made as a 16v multijet diesel, instead of unijet (with even higher pressure on the fuel line)
Apart from it having been tuned to give more power 150bhp out of the box instead of 115, why has this been done?
The emissions look lower, but fuel consumption is a bit higher, so i dont think it's been government interference, because although they give less sulphur and stuff, they give more CO2 off instead, which is contradictory to the kyoto agreement. Also, it means using more fossil fuels, which are in short supply.
If anyone can enlighten me (Nige perhaps?), please do. at the moment, i'm looking at at least a 6 month old car if i buy a unijet. which will be cheaper to insure i imagine
