JTD revs

What sort of revs should i be going up to in a 100 JTD?
are there differently ranged to a petrol?

Diesel engines rev lower than petrol engines, but generate much more torque at lower RPM, so are generally more useful. Because of this they cruise at low RPM and are more relaxed. You will have to adapt your driving style if you are moving from petrol to diesel.

Without us remapping it, it is almost pointless going above 3000 rmp. The peak torque is much lower down and usefull between 1500 and 2700.

Post a remap the power band is much larger, between 1300 and 4000, but even saying that the more grunt is still lower down between 1500 and 3000.
