Hey guys as you may know i have a 1.9JTD 115. I was wondering as to the possibility of swapping the engine head for the mjet150 head??
I am longing for that mjet engine and the 200bhp i could squeeze out of it but i dont want to get rid of my lovely stilo as its a great find, has a skyroof, parking sensors, light and rain sensors, a real gadgety one :D.
As i understand the fuel injection system would need to be made compatible so would involve dreaded ECU work, and also an extra cambelt?
Could anyone clarify for me just how difficult it would be.
Thanks
HH

why not send your turbo off to be rebuilt as a hybrid with larger impellors and better quality bearings, front mount intercooler, decat and full exhaust and remap. That will get you well on the way.

Well it just sounds like i can get so much more out of a multijet engine. Its an impossible task tho LOL was just interested. Can i have some more info on this hybrid turbo, what does it envolve and how much does it cost?

i spoke to these guys about it when i thought my turbo had gone. I think the price was about £600 and you send them your turbo, and they dismantle it, bore the turbo body out, put on larger vanes and rebuild the turbo with new seals etc.

It will give more power and may widen the power band. You will then need to decat the exhaust www.jl-tuning.nl and get a live custom remap. you may wish to run a custom exhaust as well.

Then you need to look at a front mount intercooler as well but there is no aftermarket kit for the Stilo.

You will be looking at about £1500-2000 for all this and may get close to 200hp.

In all honesty i would sell your jtd and get a 150 and remap it if you want 200hp. If you would settle for 170ish hp then go decat and remap.
