hi help on changing gear some audible knocking i have just checked the rubber around the gearbox mounting and it feels intact but i can rotate the rubber washer without any contact between the metals on top or bottom should this be tight i would have thought so for it to work as a dampner for the gearbox if so is it just a matter of tightening the nut on top until it becomes tighter but can this nut become loose and drop the gearbox slighty therefore giving me this knocking noise:bang:

strangest thing changed oil and filter and plenty of grease on joints and engine mounts and seems smoother and the knocking on change up better if not gone altogether strange i suppose in time will return but until then seems better took it for a bit of a run and at 115 smooth although a bit to soft so bit bouncy but still loads left in the engine was not flat out at all :slayer:

:(Hi sorry that you find my threads unreadable, my excuse for this is, my first language is the language of song and luv, WELSH but saying that I see you are flying the flag of the Netherlands, sorry if I got this wrong, part of my old surname is Van Otten is this not Dutch, also I get a little bit excited, sometimes (y)my grammer such as it is leaves me.

A sticking clutch could do that. Could also be the dual mass flywheel
