Hi there,

Does anyone know if there is a way to alter the idle from my current, roughly 820RPM to around 1100? The resonance from my car is driving me insane. It's boomingly loud.

I have an ELM 1.3 interface if there is some software you can recommend.

Thanks a lot

Dan

Yes, you can by editing ECU's software.
You need some remapping skills :D

And 1100 is way too high.

What is the problem ? Idle vibrations ?
Things to check:
- do you have the new gearbox mounting ?
- did you power the car without auxiliary belt ?
- did you test injectors ? Back leakage fuel test.

I had the same thing on mine; when ticking over get someone to press on the bottom of front bumper just in front of the offside wheel see if this shuts it up.
I found quite by accident this worked, what was happening was the inner plastic wheel arch was vibrating against the plastic cover that runs along the engine in front of the crank pulley.
The fix is to drill a small hole through the two plastic covers and self taping screw them together, I used two screws, be careful with the drill make sure there isn’t any wires at the breakthrough point.
