not sure if ive linkd to this already yet http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa...-line-mini-oil-catch-tank-rutland-motors.html
shows some good details of alfa boys fitting rutland motors catch tank.
it looks a nice small unit , much easier to fit in the engine bay than the normal ebay tanks.
check with supplier regarding the filter media, I think the latest version was sintered bronze type filter.
also measure your original breather pipes and pick fitting size as close to it.
and lastly someone had trouble with orings on drain valve, might be worth asking if they could supply a few spares?
also bare in mind those guys are probably jtdm cars with a separator at the back of engine same as mine , so oil theyre measuring is small , but its also bypassed the std alfa separator and would have ended up in the turbo/intercooler/inlet manifold sooner or later.
Hello! Who knows with what solution(carb cleaner, gasoline, etc.) i can clean the oil separator(number 5 in the attachment)? If it's possible to do that. Thanks!
1.take it off the car
2. spray oven cleaner( Sano, Triumf,..) in both ends ..let soak or 5-10 minutes
3. rinse with hot water
4. repeat steps 1-3 until you no longer see any crap coming out(at least 5-6 times)
Before putting it back on the car make sure you rinse it enough to make sure none of the oven cleaner will go inside the engine.
