Hi people I am new, I just need a bit of help.

I just got an alpine cda 9855 on my insurance so as it is such a good unit i felt i should improve the speakers a bit.

I used to have cheap 6x9 s in the back which i have just replaced.

My question is if i replace the front speakers will there be any improvement in sound quality from the standard ones the punto mk 2 comes with?

I Know they are 16.5 cm but is it a case of literally unscrewing the faceplace and simply swapping the old for the new?

the speakers i am looking to buy are......

Will these fit ok etc cheers for ur help

Hi :)

They'll be an improvement without a doubt.

If theyre 16.5cm then it is pretty easy to swap them, but make sure the new speakers aren't too deep for the door. Also I think you'll need to chop the old connectors off so you can wire the new speakers up

wicked where do i find out the mounting depth, because i think the speakers i want are 59mm deep

cheers peeps

Get a tape measure of your current depth now, and make sure its ok with the new speakers. Just cut off the ****ty gay connecters split polarity and either put your own Spades on or jsut wrap wire round.!

i agree but well expensive because i would have to pay for them to be installed as i no sod all about installing anything but basic speakers

how do u just swap them over, is the tweeter not linked to the speaker, or do you just put new tweeters in using the wires from the original components
