JBL + Amp package

why JBL, why not try something else. I managed to get brand new 500W sony amp £70 quid, and 1200W sony sub £49 quid from halfords, a pair of 300W infinity midragnge speakers £49 quid also new kenwood head unit KDC W7031 for £180. Excellent sounds. excellent head unit with gravity meter.

hi there, i had that amp in my old brava, never had any trouble with it pretty powerful for the price - jbl make v. expsensive equipement so their 'low cost' stuff still has a good rep.

You won't go far wrong with a JBL sub, especially for the price :D

The sub enclosure is fairly decent as well - it is the correct volume (0.75 cu ft) and is thick enough (18mm).

IMHO opinion the amp is a bit on the weak side (200W RMS amp compared to 250W RMS sub), but as long as the amp gain is turned down, it'll be fine.

I'm not particularly fond of Sony speakers now I've listened to a few, but the HUs and amps are hard to fault for the price IMO. JBL speakers are amongst the best budget speakers you can buy. (y)
