hi ok i am looking at getting a stainless steel cat back system and have my eye on a janspeed dtm zuast and was wondering if any one has got one or had one and do they fit ok and do they unleash any donkies and what they sound like

well i had a 2.0 prelude on throttle bodies running 250bhp with straight through exhaust and no interior and it was deffening and after 6 months i am sure it has killed brain cells so i will defo be keeping the centre silencer i prefer low noise and decent sound

I have a janny dtm on mine, best thing I ever bought I think, for the car.

It felt like it allowed more torque at lower revs, and I know this sounds odd but the fuel consumption was better too, and I use a standard airbox and filter on the inlet side.

As regards the sound, its not loud - I have it fitted to a standard mid pipe that has the small silencer on, it has a nice smooth sound to it and doesnt sound like a "wasp in a coke can" like some of the universal silencers that are around do, at idle and on over run it sounds lovely

I bought mine secondhand of here, I have never had janspeed before and I was very impressed with its quality

One tip though, use a small rubber donut at the mount under the bumper, I found a better fit like that and I also bent the towing eye up out of the way, otherwise it will knock like crazy on it.

Janspeed are very good quality, sound nice but heavy.

Supersprint are not worth the money as they are aluminised steel and do rust quite well. The pipe size is really no bigger than standard and looks silly when there's a huge tip on the end. They sound and perform about the same as a premium grade (£38) silencer.

Peco are quite good for the money and sound very nice.
