I viewed 3 500's in December for sister, we bought the 3rd and it was the only one with front end sill damage caused by incorrect jacking. It's shocking how common it is!

With.. or Without damage..

Personally..,
I drive onto Low-ish blocks, then you've enough room to get under with a conventional trolley jack.. don't trust FIXED point jacks as the car will ALWAYS creep sideways:eek:

AND I always jack on suspension points,
NEVER damaged a sill..!!

unlike a friend who got back in his Vauxhall at a major fast-fit chain to find they had jack-ed up the floor pan ( at the drivers footwell):bang:

Well spotted, my bad, it was the only one without. The first 2 each had front end sill damage.

It's not too bad. Oil leak is being fixed this Thursday funny enough, been really busy so had to find time to get it taken into our Alfa/Fiat specialist in Norwich to have a look. Took it in for them the clean the engine bay down as there was oil everywhere so no hope in finding the source, then back about 10 days later to see where it's coming from, and it's some strange plastic coolant pipe / plate which appears to have an oil feed within it also. Seems the plastic has warped causing the oil leak. £35 for the part and then fitting on top. So hopefully will be all sorted with this bit being changed. At the same time, as the coolant has to be dropped to change this part, they're going to properly fix the coolant leak also from the pipe that joins the thermostat housing (I've given up, I think it all just needs taking apart, cleaning and putting back together again with a good quality jubilee clip).

Other than this it's doing sister well and flew through its 2nd MOT Thursday just gone :)
