Introduction
I aint been on here a long time, but i got rid of my bravo and got a new car back in November so here is some stuff about her.
1996 Volkswagen Golf L Mk3
1.4l 8v Engine
59bhp
Metallic Storm Grey
Here she is!
131k on the clocks which about average for a vw
Angel eyes too
Following the Vdub craze, i got it on coilovers and got to work with stickerbombing and steelies, but was unsure about them
A week into owning it, and a week after its M.O.T this happens
so a noisy, but beefy sounding trip home, i stole my brothers Powerflow exhaust :slayer:
Then things got worse..........
Engine was getting worse and worse, Numerous breakdowns and stuff, i thought, just get a new engine
Turned out the headgasket was naffed, bits and bobs cracked, water pump leaking and a dodgy starter motor
Couple weeks worth of browsing t'net, i come across someone selling a GTI engine. £100 for a 2.0l engine with all ancilleries and everything from the engine bay. Got some extras aswell
78k on the clocks, Brand new clutch and belt. bargain!
so it begins.......
Out with 1.4
and in with the 2.0l
Almost finished, couple more things to do:devil:
in the mean time, i got my extra stuff fitted
GTI Trim, GTI spoiler and VR6 rear lights
And that is all
