CraigyB your white beast is lookin good - Wheels suit it perfectly and the white sets those stickers off great.

my cars funny as its taken some getting used too, I see it as cool, whilst most people dont get it at all! cinqs are 'too cool for school' anyway, were way ahead of the curve here

I was gonna go for the rally stickers but not sure it would be a bit too much? pin stripe a number square n stuff, like the photoshop (on page 1 i think)

Had MOT today which sucked! Failed on a buckled wheel!!! and lousy headlight adjustment! which lead to me doing a guide! Could be worse tho - but its more annoying when its little bits...

yet to see how bad this "bent / damaged road wheel bead" is, Iv got a spare set of wheels too which makes it more annoying!

If all it failed on was the buckle just stick the spare wheels on (after checking none of them are buckled ofc) and take it back for the retest.

That was the plan - but by the time i'd adjusted the headlight - then broken it - then fixed it again, it was too late in the day - taking it tomoro morning. £10 retest - are there any free ones out there anymore? MOTs are stupidly expensive!

You get a free retest if you let the garage do the work, which would probably work out more expensive tbh

Its just in the good old days before they had to use the computers - the places we used did free retests! Now none i know do. Although £10 for a retest is ok - its just a premium place that charge £50 for the test - they are good tho

I should have said - right yeah can you do it, put the spare on, and adjust the headlight with the spanner - they obviously dont wanna touch headlights because they self destruct!!! would have taken them 10 mins!!!

instead i went home and broke the headlight myself!

Hi

Been fiddling about with the bonnet and lifted the rear edge to see if i could get the bonnet to clear my K&N - had to raise it about 3cm with 102mm silicone hose, as strut brace knocked it off when the engine twisted... then bonnet close but would knock it off when driving. long story of poorly chosen/fitting parts there!

One thing resulting from raising the filter is the exaust is even louder, deeper - not better tho

Might raise it a bit more to about an inch.

Just put 6 washers under the rear of each hinges... sounds crazy i know but the other option is to cut a vent/scoop in the bonnet in the nice new paint...

Perhaps just get a better induction kit that fits and works better than a K&N??

What the hell !

Went for MOT retest to find that they cant pass you if you have a spacesaver(costsaver) spare wheel fitted!!!:bang: Supprised me as its the original equipment on the car. 155 13 55 tyres with the 70 profile spare! Dug out an old conq alloy wheel from the back of my garage now which is why its so annoying!!!

Learnt something today!

I know the speed rating is an issue - but they didnt mention that!

Good garage as they told me before having to charge for the retest

Your probably right but I went for the K&N cos they were a bit cheaper - works fine now and makes a good noise now its not half falling off all the time...

They are from a strada abarth as far as i know. Look quite a bit like UnoT's though now you mention it.

Uno turbo's used to have very similar wheels then

Offsets, one set is et29 i think(the smaller the number the further they stick out right??) spaced out 6mm each side up front as ive got UT brakes. made a good difference to the handling.just fit inside the arches

The other set is something like et35, they fit on me old cinq but not on my black one. needed spacers

My wheels are ET60 this confirms to me that they aren't the Uno ones, not sure on uno's offset but sure it ain't 60.. I can't decide whether to fit them or not though...

just got these beasts off the bay for an absolute bargain!!! £31 wahoo , look pretty rare too... 13" 5.5J - 5 spoke revolutions with the correct pcd and pretty close offset.

got 70 profile 175 tyres at the mo, will see what they r like compared to nankangs...

just the slightly 'retro' look im after

In my youth I never bothered about other cars I was a hedge magnet.

After some training I could spin down a white line with no effort.

But back to topic the latest show room jobs have three stripes in It colour down the side and thay fade to go faster dots ...

My point ws the factory jobs seem to have copied your and Criag's colour scheme in part.

yeah id say mine was a response to the new 500 customising encouraged by Fiat. Before the new 500 becomes as common as new minis with customised stripes etc...

Noticed you finally changed your avatar . Stripes are boring, takes a guy with stickers 30mins to put them on. If I see them I think, meh so what? Yours is well and truly unique. As for the rally stickers I'm not sure, maybe a couple on each panel but don't over do it. One which I reckon should definately be done is the one with your national flag next to your name and under it same for another person who drives car. (under wing mirror looks best I reckon)

Italian Flag Paint Job? decals on!

I have *astrdised my car further by finally putting some decals on! They are a bit pricey so only done a few so far....

In my opinion the magnetti mareli ones should be bigger, i got 15cm ones instead of 20. and there should be a few more stickers as it looks a bit sparse at the mo... to even it out a bit...

I will be putting on a number square on the doors with black pin stripe.

havent had anything thrown at me yet and done about 3-4K miles... although it is funny hearing peoples comments as i go by...

also got pulled by the cops for one brake light out - they made no comment.



also got these wheels, still cleaning them up... what do you think peeps
