Just bought an S-reg 1.2 16V to replace the old 75sx runaround (it was getting really tatty underneath so decided not to attempt another MoT). Stuck new disks and pads on tonight and then dropped the "new" one off at a local garage for an MoT - being tested tomorrow - then had a funny experience with the electrics.
When I turned off the ignition the lights stayed on. Not full beam though. Leaving the ignition off when I turned the lights back on, the fan blower started!
I tried to start the engine but the battery was almost flat.
Is this a symptom of a common fault - bad earth for example? I will call in at the garage tomorrow with a fresh battery and check the earth connections under the battery tray anyway but any other info would be greatly appreciated.
