sorted it. Silly me. It was that long since I used the car I was forgetting that to start the car you must push the clutch right down to the floor then turn the ignition - It started and is now working fine. It's good i didn't start to do the spark plus and battery meter checks etc (which I would have had to go our and buy). I was reading through the manual about starting issues etc and noticed the "press Clutch to the floor" - then I remembered. It turned over about 5 times and then started. Happy. Thanks again for your advise.

Dont forget to indicate whilst traveling, look in the mirrors occasionally , brake at junctions, and put petrol in it now and then!
I don't suppose you know why I can't open the passenger door from the outside do you? Must of the time 95% it can be only opened from the inside. Occassionally it opens from the outside but completely randomly and not very often at all.
