erm more than likely lol he saw it in town yesterday apparently, is the spec any good? or are there better TV's out there for the money?

No idea, not up on HD TVs I am afraid, although sure there was a thread about this recently.

And what is his budget - £650 from Tesco or £540 from Curries? If he could afford £650 to spend at Tesco, then he could buy a lot better TV surely, just by shopping around.

Wouldn't bother with the Phillips one - seems fairly limited with it's connections.
