Hi, has anyone had the mis-forturne of using this dealership yet?
They are rubbish. I had a paint query with them, poor quality paint around the rear quarter, blotchy finish, went to see these guys they said "go home and T-Cut it out. I had side indicators that filled with water when it rained, after phoning and reporting the problem to them I had to go there for what I thought was a booking to replace them, but no, they made me go all the way in to confirm my findings, then they booked me in for the following week to fit them, so I had to go back again a week later. I was booked in yesterday to have the no flashing indicators with alarm syndrome sorted, when I got there they said "oops the machine is broken, we'll book you in for next week" This is the worst FIAT dealership in the UK, the staff are poorly presented and very laid back, ie, on one visit I walked in to collect my car, they said, " oh can't find your keys, you'll have to wait until the service manager comes back from lunch" I sat there for twenty minutes before his return, I wasn't even offered a coffee. They never meet the time scales that they promise. They are not familiar with the FIAT products they sell. I am always nervous about leaving my car here as the staff seem not to care about the vehicles whatsoever, I always check for scratches and wheel damage. The cars they sell on the forecourt are shoddy and covered in scratches, all ex fleet I believe, I could go on, but you get the picture. I'd like to hear other peoples experience with this garage.

You could try writing ti Fiat diect and tell them.
Also fing another dealer.

I couldn't agree more about the staff - I'm still waiting for my electronic code etc. a month after ordering it - I think I'll drive down to Priory next time I want to buy something for the Stilo...at least they'll know what a Stilo is!

As for the 'shoddy and covered in scratches' my Stilo is one of the ex-fleet examples and I can honestly say is was near spotless bar the obligatory stone chips - after the cock up with them selling us a motor without air-con we went over it with a fine toothed comb to make sure it was A1.

Our decision to use Ball-acher was a spur of the minute one - I found rust on the roof of our 3 yr old Hyundai when washing it on the Sunday morning and had choppeed it in by 4pm the same day. With hindsight it might have been better to look elsewhere but we got as much trade in as Hyundai were offering and I know which I'd rather be driving (unless it was the 2.7 V6 coupe of course;))

Having read everyone elses comments in the Garages section I wouldn't say Stoneacre were the worst but they're certainly up there with the best (sorry WORST) of them. Complaining to Fiat won't help - if they stripped them of the franchise then they would struggle to get another dealer to take it over given Fiat's reputation.

Anyway, time to step down off the soap-box...

Hi, well I popped in Ballsacre yesterday, I needed my electronic codes to have the alarm reset, they faxed my log book through and the codes were there within minutes, but, and you knew there was going to be one, the machine that accesses the computer and makes use of the codes was broken, so I'm still not sorted.

Waiting for them to contact me when the machine is fixed, in other words, I'll have to keep phoning them to find out when it's fixed!

i'm sure reg vardy in walsall could give them a run for their money!i am still waiting for work to be done that was suposed to be sorted before i took the car!
i must have phoned them at least 30-40 times and everytime they answer you get that ''oh! i was just thinking about you!''.in fact will give them another call in a bit to keep the pressure on!:D

Stoneacre also hold the local franchises for SEAT and Suzuki but the service is no better - I've been waiting for 8 months for them to arrange a test drive in a SEAT Ibiza 1.9TDI!!!

The answer to the title of this thread is simple.........YES!!!!!!!!

FIAT Stilo Sport. Pretty Much Bog Standard Really. Rear Roof Spoiler,
Sill Protectors, Aluminium Foot Pedals, Eibach 30mm Drop Springs.

janevj, what is wrong is that my local FIAT dealer is they are cowboys, they aren't interested in you or me the customer, oh sorry, yes they are, if you're buying a car, after that, forget it, they don't want to know, the service is bad, their attitude is terrible, their prices are high and they are most unhelpful and now they've declared themselves a 'car supermarket' all they're interested in is shifting units, money is their only motivation!

Do you want me to go on? Or do you get the picture?

Got it ... my local dealer's service is awfull too ... exactly as described in your post ... but i go to service at another fiat authorised service and I'm very pleased with their work ... only problem is that the bad ones are closer to me .. but i do not find it disturbing at all ... i like to drive.

I do to, I have to travel to Huntingdon to Priory FIAT if I want some decent service, I only use my local dealer for spares or accessories now, and then you have to get on your knees and beg for a 10% discount which just about brings the item down to the price that another dealership would have charged me anyway!

An example, I wanted a rear spoiler for my Stilo, local garage, £103, I phoned another FIAT garage they told me £76, so I phoned my local garage and told them, they say ok, we'll do it for £80, still more expensive but it saves me travelling the 20 miles to Huntingdon.

I like FIAT cars, but hate FIAT dealers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh and FIAT UK are s**t too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thats really annoying indeed.why dont you tell them that the other dealer will supply the spoiler for 50 and than they might lower the price too:)

well than ... you will pay 76 for the rear spoiler and drive a little bit to the service that is far.no choice ... but you might save 30p.
