Technical Is retrofitting Carplay and TFT Cluster worth it?

Hello,

I will be purchasing a post facelift fiat 500 soon, possibly a Lounge as I quite like these and was happy when I sat in one at the dealership.

Most Lounge's don't have the Carplay / TFT

Is it difficult, expensive, worth the hassle to have these installed?

Or is better to go for a more expensive trim (possibly £1000 ish more) which has these already installed (and includes extra specs like leather seats which bump the price up but are not essential for me!)

I will be upgrading to Carplay if I do get the Lounge anyway, but trying to weigh up if it's worth it. £1k is a lot of money.

TFT cluster and carplay radio are two separate items. Depending on what type of system is in the wanted 500, Blue&Me or Uconnect its fairly strait forward for the cluster.
If you have a B&M radio, you will need aftermarket system for upgrading to Carplay.
If you have Uconnect the swap will need good software and knowledge.
